Wherein we Build our First Mini Car

by Marci: the person from whom we steal food and blankets, and why won’t she give us more turkey?

What I really want to do for today’s post is show you 900 photos of Mabel “helping” build the car and making the box her home, but I am going to limit myself to a few. I’ll just put a lot of them on our social media instead.

Here’s a pretty terrible video I made of my interview with Ryan Rose from First Energy. Ryan used his volunteer hours to build the first Mabel Motors Mini Car. We had a lot of fun, even after chasing Mabel for stolen parts every five minutes – she’s cleverly sneaky.

As you can see, we are pretty fond of our little car, but we plan on getting lots of reviews from kids to share with you. You can also look forward to some great footage after our Akron Children;s Hospital Test Drive October 21. We are so excited to start getting these cars into various programs and locations.

So without further ado, here are some pictures from our MinioCar buildout you might enjoy, but our social media has/will have more, so you should probably just follow it all. We would love to hear your questions and comments, and you know we are always looking for sponsors and donors. Drop us a line and Mabel will send you a virtual hug – or a virtual kiss if you can handle the drool πŸ˜‰

Have a great day and drive safely you crazy kids <—- I mean you adult kids here

We laid our parts our on this nice white quilt so we could see everything clearly. We obviously thought building our MiniCar was going to be much more difficult than it was, so we came prepared.
Mabel and her new dog house courtesy of fine shipping and handling everywhere, She used this house for six weeks before tearing it into pieces.

Extra extra: This week I visited the Gary Sinise Foundation and now I’m in Anaheim, CA for the World Burn Congress with the Phoenix Society for burn survivors. Both of these have been powerfully inspiring, so as soon as I get some time, I will throw in some extra posts about this fabulosity. Otherwise, I will see you next Wednesday here at WordPress Mabel Motors.

Thanks for reading and drop us a line below or anywhere you find us. Mabel is happy to send a virtual hug. She would also send a kiss, but your computer can’t handle that level of drool πŸ˜‰ Have a great day – Me and the Mab
